Behaviour & Conduct
While working at UniSQ, you are expected to uphold high standards of professional behaviour and align with the University’s values of Respect, Integrity, and Excellence. Contractors must familiarise themselves with and adhere to UniSQ’s principles and policies on diversity, inclusion, and gender equity, and support a zero-tolerance approach to violence.
All conduct on UniSQ premises must be free from discrimination, workplace bullying, and sexual harassment. Any behaviour that undermines a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment will not be tolerated.
To maintain a productive and respectful campus environment:
• Radios are not permitted on site, as noise must be kept to a minimum to avoid disrupting teaching and learning.
• Dogs are not allowed, unless they are certified assistance animals.
• Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited on all UniSQ campuses.
• Alcohol and illicit drugs are strictly prohibited. Contractors must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on site.
Smoking On Campus
UniSQ is a smoke-free university. Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited across all UniSQ campuses, including:
• Indoor and outdoor areas
• Within 4 metres of building entrances
• Carparks, sporting facilities, and vehicles
• Leased or owned land and research sites
Where designated outdoor smoking areas are provided, they must be used. Contractors are expected to comply with all signage and instructions related to smoke-free zones.
Child Safe Policy
UniSQ is committed to creating an environment that reduces the risk of harm to Children and increases the likelihood of early identification of any potential for harm. The University acknowledges that it owes particular obligations to Overseas Students who are also minors. The University is committed to ensuring that any Contractors who have contact with Children as part of their work at all times maintain appropriate and respectful behaviours and comply with all Australian laws relating to Children.
Contractors have an obligation to report any child safety concerns, including disclosure of abuse or harm, or allegations, suspicions or observations of harm.
